Forum 47:

STEMM in 2020: Corrective Lenses, New Frames

Held Monday, January 27, 2020

Forum Summary

A decade into the 21st century, we see an expanding need for science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine to address major global challenges, including those related to the health and wellbeing of people and our planet. In her presentation, Dr. Malcom will argue that universities must transform if they are to effectively meet these challenges. They must find effective ways to embrace diverse perspectives, remove barriers to access and success, meet the needs of all members of their community, and include the full range of talent in seeking and using knowledge for social good. The SEA Change program offers new lenses and a new framing to support institutional transformation.
